I knew that I wanted to try hemp oil. I spent several days online researching medicinal uses of CBD/hemp oil. I read articles, explored websites, perused product information from various hemp oil producers and queried folks on facebook. I had heard about the many health benefits of CBD and was hopeful that it might provide some relief for my chronic Fibromyalgia and Arthritis pain. But I couldn’t find information on dosage or explanations of the uses of the various forms (drops, capsules, creams, etc.).
I founda book that has just enough scientific and medical info to explain how and why CBD works as medicine; this gave me confidence that hemp oil is not just a fad, placebo or snake oil. Much of the research cited is from US government studies as well as universities (and there are plenty of citations and footnotes for those who want to go to the source). The author is clearly very well educated on the subject, and his experience in nursing and drug counseling are a real plus, adding to my confidence. I love this. It has eased my joints. I’m not a big believer in “natural” products. My mother was a hospital Pharmacist from 1930 to 1972. I have been using CBD for a couple of years. I kept having to increase the strength which increases the price. I have chronic back pain, have had spinal fusion, Fibromyalgia, anxiety, other health problems. I had to choose between pain meds, anxiety meds and sleeping meds. Being in pain from the age of 23 when now I’m 50 obviously was my choice. That left me with panic attacks, severe anxiety, and many sleepless night.
